This is one of the best children's books my kids have had

My oldest child is now almost 15 and I have had this book on hand for the last 12 years. I also have 2 other children. All 3 of my children have loved this book. I have read it over and over and over again over the last 12 years. The children especially liked creating their own house is a house situations. The kids would go on and on and on for ages. I have held onto this book and read to my nieces and nephew over the years. Hopefully the book will last until I have grandchildren to read it to. I myself have thoroughly enjoyed the book time and time again.

Wonderful out loud reading, great drawings

I read this book to my daughter fifty times or more. It is a wonderful piece of poetry to recite; rhythmic and fun. The pictures are very detailed, with lots for a child to discover and ask questions about. Every page has an intricate drawing with many different recognizable details. I found it to be a good jumping off point for many varied discussions when my daughter was a tot. I send it to my friends who are having their first baby....

I have only been a first grade teacher for two years now, and am just starting to build up my own children's literature collection. House is a House for Me is without a question one of my favorites. The children loved it so much when I read this book of rhyme, not a peep was made on the rug. When I was finished reading the book, the children wanted to create their own class version entitled House is a House for Me 2! If you are a teacher or a parent, this is a small investment, but one that you and your children will treasure for years to come.

This book falls _way_ short of its promises.

Although the initial discussion of spinoffs was ok, the 90 or so "case histories" are useless. Each one is about a paragraph in length, and merely describes the terms of the spinoff, with _no_ commentary whatsoever. The book will give you an idea of which types of spinoffs are worth further investigation, but it does not teach you how to analyze these situations further. However, there is a shameless advertisement for the author's spinoff newsletter at the end of the book. Tsk, tsk...
If you're interested in this type of investing, I would highly recommend Joel Greenblatt's "You Can Be a Stock Market Genius", which manages to go into further depth in about 10% of the space - and at half the price!

Excellent primer on how to make money on spin-off situations

A good guide on investing in an inherantly inefficient area of the equity market. Recently, McKinsey published a study on corporate spinoffs, suggesting that spin-offs returned an average of 27% in the first two years of independance versus 17% for the S&P 500 Index over a recent 10 year period.
This book will help you take advantage of the dislocation often observed in spin-offs. A good investment for the serious investor.

Gimme Some Truth!

This is an excellent compilation of John Lennon's view points on a myriad of topics, e.g. politics, music. John and Yoko had a column in 1972 and parts of their column are included in this book.

The preface gives readers an overview of John Lennon's history, including his stellar fame with the Beatles and his founding the World's Number One Band! One error that jumped out at me was when the year given for John's infamous statement about Jesus and popularty was 1965. The statement was made in 1966! That one thing notwithstanding, this is an excellent book and one that will have readers imagining the vision John shared with the world.

During the great flood Raziel came to Noah and gave him a book, too. The book contains many interesting facts about the structure of our solar system, says about astrology and teaches the basics of life.

Don't be suckered

The product presentation is misleading to say the least. This e-book is NOT a new translation of the Book of Raziel nor is it complete. It is a "partial" English translation and rewording of a previously existant document that you can find for free with a simple Google search. This e-book is not authentic and a rehash of second hand material. Not worth the purchase.

I was so eager to read this book, I don't know if the editing is the main problem or the translations. There are *links* (kindle version) to *read more*
that go no where. very frustrating.
The idea of the book is exciting, I wish I knew WHY it hasn't been translated by an expert in Hebrew/Aramaic or ancient Judaism. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
