About the Author
Rob Horne is a Partner at Trowers and Hamlins, and has specialised in the resolution of construction and construction related disputes for over 20 years. He is a Chartered Arbitrator and adjudicator in addition to advising and representing clients in all forms of dispute avoidance and resolution. Rob's strengths lie in coordinating and managing significant and diverse teams across multiple disciplines and often across multiple jurisdictions. He is recognised for his ability to build and control highly effective teams particularly related to large scale infrastructure projects.

John Mullen is a chartered quantity surveyor and civil engineering surveyor, with over 30 years experience of the construction industry. In that time he has been employed by contractors and professional practices and represented a wide range of clients. Co-author of the book Evaluating Contract Claims, John has an international reputation that has led to over 60 appointments as an expert witness around the World, with sums in dispute ranging up to $760 million. One of the founders of Driver Group plc, John is currently Principal of its DIALES business.

A Profound piece of spiritually inspired work

This book is one of the most profound pieces of spiritually inspired work I have ever had the privilege to read. If you are on a spiritual journey and you have realized the material available in the realm of spirituality is seriously lacking, then you definitely need to read this book. But before you do so, be prepared to have your world shaken to the core. I learned early on my individual path that the road to enlightenment is a destructive process because you must look within and deconstruct everything you think you know, but most people are unwilling to do the internal work to get there. This book takes the reader by the hand to accompany you down that road. It is scary to the psyche, but by the time you reach the end of the book, you will be profoundly changed. For me, it was definitely for the better. I have read most of the books in the series and I find that each books stands alone in what it presents, but when you read the entire series, and not necessarily in chronological order, it slowly removes the blinders that we have placed on us as humans that keeps us from experiencing and acknowledging our own powerful spirit.

"Don't waste your money"

Don't listen to the previous negative review, "Don't waste your money", this was the best investment in myself for the knowledge obtained. Apparently the above person is either a "New Age" paractitioner that makes their living hoodwinking innocent people into their form of deception, or they are the "text book example" of what Mr. Endall Beall mentioned how some people would react in defense of their erroneous beliefs.

This book is part of a comprehensive series of amazing works informing us of the truth about what has plagued humankind for eons. I have read many publications during my search for truth for 30 plus years now, and nothing compares to these works by Endall Beall & Mrs. Endall Beall. People are afraid of their ego driven world no longer existing due to their complacency about not taking responsibility for their lives, they need to get over it & get with the truth however tough it seems to be.

I was raised catholic & I have ventured into metaphysics & nothing gave me the information as did these books; the brainwashing we all go through is disgusting to say the least!

Do yourself a favor, if you are honestly seeking a better way to live, a better way to grow in consciousness, and a better way to receive truth about this whole scenario called life, do yourself a very big favor & buy these books! It is the best thing I ever did in 30 years of my quest for spiritual truth.

Don't waste your money!

Waste of money! There is nothing worth reading in this book. Author's big idea is you must annihilate your ego side (which is a part of you and must be integrated not banished which can't be done anyways). Writer spends many many pages repeating the same thing only in different wording and is constantly insulting you telling you that they don't care if you "get it" because you don't matter to them. So I guess if the writer doesn't care about the readers understanding what they are trying to teach then the sole purpose must have been to make money by writing a piece of s*** book. Well you got my $ but at least I can leave my opinion for others to be warned not to waste their money! A note to the author, try doing a little shadow work to clean up your issues and stop writing crap like this!

Lisbeth Eng's "In The Arms of the Enemy" is a grand World War II historical romance in the best tradition. The multi-layered story of beautiful, courageous young Italian Resistance fighter, Isabella Ricci, and the men who love her, rugged Italian Resistance commander, Massimo Baricelli, and the honorable German army Captain, Gunter Schumann, is a dramatic one. The backdrop of occupied Italy - following Mussolini's ousting when the Allies are advancing from the south of the country even as the Germans retain a stranglehold over the northern portions of Italy - is richly depicted. The growing Italian Resistance is battling the Germans and the Fascist Italian hold-outs. Civilians are caught in the middle and taking sides can be deadly. Ms. Eng has provided exquisite period detail and the atmosphere is, by turns, brutal and beautiful. The cast of supporting characters are diverse and nicely fleshed out, completing the human tableau. The complexities of war, loyalty, principles, emotional conflict, love and duty are powerfully presented through these well-drawn characters, who deftly avoid the cliched "good guy" and "evil guy" tags, instead giving the reader real human characters to cry and cheer for. I'm a big fan of WWII romance and am thrilled to see such a strong entry into this growing sub-genre of historical romance and women's fiction. More, Ms. Eng, please!

beautiful romance in WWII Italy

Favorite aspect of this book for me was the romance, no surprise there given it’s a historical romance mainly. Gunther is a dream (I need to find me a Gunther pronto!!!), with the right balance of courage, sweetness, and gentlemanly manners along with his misguided devotion to the Fatherland and hard time with forgiveness. And I adored Isabella. She’s a strong woman who’s devoted to her ideals yet still has the capacity to find herself blindly in love with a man who’s her enemy. Together, they form a romantic connection that will leave you sighing in happiness.

I also enjoyed the intense Resistance storyline and the fight against the Nazis. Isabella’s struggle to balance out her emotions and her mission was heart wrenching and kept me reading. I also really enjoyed the opening of Gunter’s eyes to what his country’s leaders and military is capable of in regards to its brutal occupation. The dashing of his rose-colored glasses view of the world was a nice complement to Isabella’s struggle.

The author also took the time to explore the aftermath of WWII and give us a window into how Germany was ultimately affected, the impact of the regular Joe German as they try to rebuild their lives and the developing power of the partisans as Europe rolled towards peace. I also enjoyed how Gunther and his fellow serviceman like Kurt and Klaus showed us that all Germans weren’t automatically Nazis; some were just men who were serving in the army to the best of their abilities.

With a heavy focus on romance, this is a winner of a historical romance. It’s got great emphasis on emotions and a fantastic story to back it up. With some nice historical tidbits and heavy subjects to give the setting/story some weight, I’d highly recommend this book to any lover of WWII historical romances or novels from the genre in general.

Love and Choices

It is 1944 and the Nazi war regime has a foothold in Verona Italy. Isabella Ricci is a spy and is undercover to obtain plans to give to her leader lover Massimo Baricelli the leader of the resistance revolt. When Isabella's old friend Sylvia introduces her into social gatherings with the enemy, she is not comfortable but finds a perfect opportunity to begin gathering the information she needs to relay back to her lover.

There is a fly in this ointment. As with a lot of movies we have seen on this subject matter, we know it would be far easier if there were no feelings involved or if they were one sided.
Captain Günter Schumann becomes enamored with Isabella. He is no stranger to women who are part of the enemy faction and doing what it takes to either save their lives or enjoy some perks that are verboten by the general populace.
The captain finds Isabella attractive and engaging, but he also is enthralled with her intelligence and innocent grace.

As a writer I know there is a formula to romance there's no doubt that this is indeed that. What Eng does with this, is give the reader an on-the-edge-of-your seat guessing game on whom Isabella will choose. Not only that it will make you question whom you in fact like better and weigh the pros and cons.

The author also gives an accurate and appealing and often sad visualization of the turbulent years during one of the worst war times in history.
I strongly recommend this book, because it is has all the elements that will appeal to romantics and history buffs alike.
