Straight-from-the-hip dialogue, designer clothing and gangsters are all reliably in place in Collins's fourth novel to feature the Santangelo family, particularly Lucky, who now heads a Hollywood studio. In previous exploits, this multitalented heroine has been married three times, built Vegas hotels, run a shipping empire and killed for revenge (as one character comments, "she's had quite a life"). Along the way, she's made her share of enemies, not least of whom is Donna Landsman?formerly Donatella Bonnatti?who here stages a hostile takeover of Panther Studios, has Santangelo patriarch Gino shot and makes it appear as though Lucky's beloved husband, Lennie Golden, is killed on location in Corsica following a night's indiscretion. Mourning does not become Lucky, however, and all too soon she's involving herself with chauvinistic director Alex Woods (he of the "smile like a crocodile?wide, captivating, and ultimately deadly") even as Lennie is imprisoned in a Sicilian cave. When Lucky learns what she needs to know, however, the novel's subtitle comes into play, brutally. Collins's dialogue strains belief ("Ohmigod! she gasped, clinging to Nona. "Ohmigod! No! No! NOOO!"), and she can express scarcely a sentence, a sentiment or a plot spin without resorting to cliche. As a vision of Hollywood and the mob, this novel is utterly outclassed by Mario Puzo's The Last Don. But its very lack of class and those very cliches make this an easy, nasty read, just the qualities that have previously pushed Collins to the top of the charts and will likely do so again.

Venus is a slutty but talented actress-singer who never fails to shock the public but nevertheless has legions of faithful fans (think Madonna). Mix in a girl-next-door actress, Lucky's faithful husband, a burgeoning model, a stuck-up but lovable lead male, and a score of other colorful characters, and you have a lot of recognizable people doing a lot of mean things to each other when they're not sleeping together. Underneath all the sleaze is Lucky's nemesis, Donnatella Bonnatti, just waiting for the perfect moment to ruin Lucky's life. Disappointed with how the story ended. Was really looking forward to Lucky getting her revenge on Donna rather than Donna being killed by her son. However I am thrilled Lennie found his way home to his family.

Hazel Kelly knows how to build the sexual tension, slower than I usually like, actually, but I don't mind with her books because it's hella fun getting there and when she decides it's time to bring on the heat...Look. Out! Falling for My Best Friend, the first book in the Fated series, has one of the best first lines ever: "Something told me this guy wasn't going to be up for a quick f***..." Got my attention! This book, however, wins the prize for Best Last Line -- but you'll have to read the book find out! I highly recommend that you do.

All of these books could have been put into one book and cut out some of the stupid moments and it would have been better as it stands now, I wish I had skipped it and found something better in one longer book versus 800 smaller sections ( that you pay just as much for)

You Won't Want To Miss This.........

In the book before this we ended on Aiden refusing to talk to Lucy because of the fact she kept that she found Chelsea on Tinder and didn't tell him about it. He is extremely hurt that the one person who he thought he could trust has let him down, even though Lucy had only his best interest at heart, he still wouldn't hear her out as for why she didn't say anything.

We start off in this book finding out that it's been almost a month since Aiden last spoke to Lucy and she honestly feels so lost because of how much she misses talking to him, so when she messages him to find out if he still wants her to go to his sister's wedding with him but when he replies with just a simple reply she still is hurt. One the day of the wedding whilst she is getting ready before Aiden comes to pick her up she can't help feeling nervous, because she knows that Aiden isn't exactly happy with her still. So when he does get to her apartment he is shocked at what she is wearing but he still can't seem to be himself because he is hurting badly, for most of the day he is pretty blunt with her but as soon as he sees his sister he can't help but start to soften.

When Lucy hears his speech about his sister after the wedding, she can't help but be mesmerised by him, she is finally starting to admit her feelings for him to herself and is honestly looking forward to making a go at things with him. After Aiden makes his speech he speaks to his dad for a little bit and is surprised with what he has to say about Lucy, but deep inside Aiden already knows that Lucy is the one girl for him, when he does go and find Lucy they sit down and have a small heart to heart but that is shortly ruined when Chelsea decides to crash the wedding. Aiden has no idea why she has came along but when he takes her to the side to get rid of her she is still determined to get back with him, he isn't exactly happy that she is hear and makes up an excuse about the fact that this is hard on him seeing her at his sister's wedding and that he needs time to get over her when in fact he is already in love with Lucy. However when Lucy goes to check on him the last thing she was expecting was for Aiden to tell Chelsea that him and Lucy are not together and that she is only at the wedding because of her being a friend of the families. After hearing this coming from Aiden Lucy immediately runs out and heads straight for her room at the hotel, she thinks that he doesn't care about her at all when really Aiden only said them things to get Chelsea to go away.

Will Aiden find Lucy and be able to explain that he didn't mean what he said or will it be too late. And what will Aiden think when the police arrive with Nathan to talk to Lucy, the only way you are going to know any of this is by reading this book and remember if you are enjoying this series then there is only one book left in this series. I honestly love this book and am enjoying every minute of it.

It's not about the movie, because it's a new story

What I like about this book is that it's not about the movie, because it's a new story. Okay, so maybe there are two minor spoilers though, with the other only a subtle reference, but Nick is a cop here now. Nick doesn't seem to like wearing his uniform though. There was only one illustration where he was in uniform. So some spoilers but nothing like the Big Golden Book (Which I also like).

I bought quite a number of Zootopia books actually and this one stands out because it's a new story. Life after the movie.

One thing I noticed peculiar about the story is the mention of a place that's pretty central to the story but it's not mentioned in the Zootopia Handbook, nor at least in the map. That's your world-building there.

I got this for detailed reference since i wanted to refresh my memory on certain skills and other things, i've been working in an assisted living facility for a year now, and you can really forget some skills working in one of these places, anyway, i just got the book today and was reading over it, and it seems to have some very good info, much better than the book that was given to me when i was going to the CNA classes, it's easy to read and understand, but does not have the appearence of something that a child would read, like my other CNA textbook did, it also has multible choice questions at the end of each chapter with the answers in the back of the textbook, so this can also be used by the instructor, i have not watched the enclosed CD yet though, but i'm sure its worth a watch,all in all, the book is worth the forty bucks, even if you are not interested in being a CNA, the info in it can be useful.

BOUGHT WRONG BOOK BUT GLAD OF IT

Everyone in my class bought the 4th edition of this book. However, the material is very similar despite the chapters being slightly off. Somethings in the 4th edition were given their own chapter. However, the 3rd edition has just as much current and up to date information. If you want a cheaper version of a new edition this book may be a low cost option for anyone low on cash who wants to start a CNA program or even study for the exam on their own. Very thorough and informative.
