Least helpful textbook ever.

I bought this book for a Mat_sci class, as you would believe. This book is about the worst you can get in terms of helping you learn. Let's say he introduces an equation. He'll tell you what half the variables are, which is helpful; he'll tell you what only some of the constants are but without giving their values. He will also not tell you how we get to the equation, what it really means, or anything else that would be helpful. Even if you want to use the book for practice problems, good luck. No selected answers, and half the questions need information from outside sources.
It is the first textbook I have met that helps only the people who already know the topic and want a further discussion of it. It has almost no defined terms, if any, no deriving equations, or at least telling us where they get them, it doesn't tell us what equations mean, it is just a poorly written into to mat_sci book.
I'm pretty sure the only reason why we used this book is because our professor is friends with the writer.
